Valentines Day 2012

While this is only the image, not the complete finished card, I wanted to share anyway.  I came across this picture in my files and realized I had never posted last years Valentine card for you.  This was an image created by Sherry Baldy.  Love her 'Big Eyed' images.  This was added to a jazzed up Red & White card and looked pretty fancy, with Blingy red hearts, etc.

Garden Collage again - the other 3 designs

OK, here are the three other cards that I had failed to post, then no more Garden Collage for a while, I promise.
This one is almost 'electric' with it's bright blue and nearly florescent green papers and embellished with the 'blue diamonds'.  How cheery.

This next one is on a white background, honest.  Have no idea why it scanned gray.  Embellished with tiny blue ribbon and the added bird again.  Doesn't show well in scans, but bird and butterfly are  lightly glittered

This last one is done in the 'Zindorf' style.  Michelle Zindorf does the most beautiful work and travels the US teaching her style.

Hope you enjoyed seeing the variety available with a single stamp.

More Garden Collage (Retired SU set)

I think this is the 5th design I've done with this set recently.  Guess I need to scan and post a couple of the others yet.  On both cards, the center design piece is raised above the rest of the card.  On one of them, there is truly a white border.  On the other, the black goes all the way to the edge.  I think it's a little confusing when looking at the photos.  Enjoy.
This is the one that has the white border:

Friendship Class Card

What a fun card to create.  I am so fortunate to have Heidi Tekunoff as my Stampin Up Demo.  Aside from being an incredible person, she comes up with some of the most original creations.  This is a card we created, at one of her class meetings, using the new Chalkboard Technique.  We also used the Wood Grain embossing folder and highlighted it 'grain' of the tree by swiping our darker brown ink pad across it.  We used the SU border die and the Boho Blossom punch.  Thanks Heidi.

Flower Filled

This fun card was created using the SU set Flower Filled, Black, White & Celery Green Card stock.  Small flowers and 'vase' stamped in black and embossed using Clear powder.  The largest green piece was run through the Big Shot using the Dotted Swiss Embossing Folder.  The Small green piece used the Swirls folder.  Flowers and vase are popped up on dimensionals.  Flat back pearls make cute centers for the flowers.   Fun creation!  It can be used as a Birthday card, thinking of you, etc.

Garden Collage (Retired)

Too bad this stamp is no longer available.  I think it is so versatile.  I've been Casing a number of creations that I found while searching Split Coast Stampers.  These two bear absolutely no resemblance to the original creation, other than some color similarity.  I really went far afield from the samples here.  Hope you enjoy.

These scanned a little darker than they really are, not sure why.    The base is on Kraft paper stamped with French Script in Creamy Caramel.  Followed by browns and pumpkin colors.  The bird is a part of the second stamp in the set.  I just love adding him to the flower image.  He is not popped up on dimensionals, but does overhang the frame a little.   It seldom shows in scans, but I have used a touch of Stickles glitter on the bird and butterfly.

GRADUATION CARDS.....

Yes, yes, yes - I am shouting.  I am D-O-N-E!  Well, am quitting at least, so that makes me 'done' doesn't it?  My daughter & daughter-in-law each asked for 20-40 graduation cards, so that is pretty much what I have been working on over the past few months.  Am putting 4 to an image, so you don't get sick to death of seeing them.  This is not the complete collection, but includes the majority of designs.  I made 2 alike (or similar) and tried to do 4 similar, to cut down on the number of designs I had to come up with.  Most are CASED,  a few totally my own.  I'm anxious to wrap them up for delivery and get back to more fun stamping.

Chalkboard Technique

Learned something new today...Chalkboard Technique.  There you stamp in white, dry it, then take white craft ink and sponge it gently around your darker paper.  Ends up looking like the chalkboard looks after you have erased things and have the residue left.  Pretty cool.  Used a ton of items on this card - The Woodgrain embossing folder, Boho Blossoms punch to make the flowers, the Scallop Border Punch for the edges, Bling, Twine, Antique Lace ribbon.  Fun card.  Oh yeah - woodgrain folder was smudged with Early Espresso and edge sponged with Soft Suede.

Reasons To Smile - Pink

I have to call these by Color because I am in the process of doing several different creations using the same stamp set - Reasons To Smile.   Sorry that the colors aren't showing as well as they should.  I've used a soft pink and soft green.  The pink sheet on front has a slight pattern to it - just sort of splotchy in lighter and darker pinks, and then I have stamped a wildflower pattern onto that using a slightly darker pink.  Colored with Copics, punched butterflies adorned with pearls, and soft pink ribbon complete the card.  Enjoy

I'll be back with more....

Have many more samples to post.  Was busy creating even if I couldn't get them uploaded.  My girls have asked for 'oodles' of graduation cards for their seniors.  Alas I just sent off two packages without scanning first.  Will try to scan the rest as I complete them.  Will deliver a large number of cards to the girls when we go back in May/June.

Purple Flowers

This fun card was created using Rubbernecker Wildflowers stamp.  First the purple paper was run through the Big Shot using Sizzix Powdered Sugar Embossing Folder.  The flowers were stamped onto the white paper and colored with Copics.  The edges were inked to make it less stark, and it was mounted flush (no dimensionals) onto the card.  The flowers were stamped a second time onto scraps, colored and cut out.  OK, I didn't really cut them all out.  Many of them were very close to a circle punch size, 1/2", 7/8" etc.  Then I just had to make a few snips here and there.  So much easier than fussy cutting everything by hand. The top flowers were affixed with dimensionals.  Different size "Diamonds" were colored with the copics to get the desired color and affixed to the flower centers.  This is a CASE of a Kittie Caracciolo creation.  She is so very talented.  This card is elegant and dramatic IRL.

Watercolor Minis

This card is so soft and pastel that it does not show up extremely well.  The stamp set is SU Water Color Minis.  The branches are double stamped, in both Pink & Green.  The first stamping is full of ink, then you quickly stamp a second time.  The fact that there is so little ink on the stamp, makes it look even softer, almost faded, and gives it a little depth.  A spot has been left blank for a Greeting or Sentiment.  The soft pink butterflies are made using the SU sizzlit, which automatically cuts and embosses a pattern onto the butterfly.  It has 5 or 6 sizes available on one sizzlit and each has a slightly different shape and pattern.  The sentiment area has been edged with a softer green, using a border punch from SU.  Glitter glue was placed lightly over the pink stems.  Tiny pearls on the butterflies finish the card.  A delicate, pretty card.

Wreath Card

Thank you to those of you who wrote and told me it would work with a different server.  I loaded up Firefox and so far it seems good.  We made these dainty Wreath Cards using the Memory Box Breezy Wreath die.  Cut several and overlap them.  We punched the tiny flowers, 'cupped' them with our embossing stylus over a mouse pad, and put them on with dimensionals.  A delicate ribbon and tiny butterfly complete this fun project.  Enjoy!

It isn't me...

Still trying to add pictures of my creations and been all over blog support etc.  Finally located a forum issue that said that yes, this is a problem, they know about it and are working on it with no idea of resolution timing.  At least it wasn't just me not knowing what to do LOL.

I'll come back to blogging when it is fixed.  In the meantime, I keep creating.

Have a good day

I give up....

I have oodles and bunches of creations to post, but can not figure out how to get them onto the 'new, improved' blogger format nor can I find a Blogger Help.  So, until I can figure these things out, don't be looking for any further posts from me - she says sadly.  This has been so much fun but.....
