Praying for you...

This is a complete CASE of a lovely card sent to me last year by the talented Heidi of TwoHappyStampers  http://www.twohappystampers.blogspot.com/   It was created using Stampin Up My Digital Studio, their 3 heart punch and using Strawberry Slush paper for the hearts.   The corners are rounded but that did not show up in the scan - white on white.   The 'bandaid' is simple rectangles cut from Crumb Cake paper, sponged lightly with brown, and had rounded corners.  A simple card that speaks volumes.  Thanks Heidi.

Flower Fest

So sad to see Flower Fest retiring this year - it is such a versatile set and I haven't purchased it yet (just keep borrowing).  This card is a complete Case of the very talented Karen Barber.  It was done using Blushing Bride, Lucky Limeade and So Saffron. Each flower was stamped twice, with White Embossing Powder over Versa Mark.  It took 8 flowers per card and 10 leaves.  Each was shaded using the marker of the same color as the paper.  A 1 1/4" punch gets pretty close to the main flower while a 3/4" does a good job with the center of the flower.  Just clean them up and clip out the notches and you are all set.  So much easier than fussy cutting the whole thing.

The base of Whisper White C/S was run through the Big Shot and the Dotted Swiss Embossing Folder.  A piece of Blushing Bride was layered onto the bottom half.  The 5 yard spool of SU ribbon will go a long way if I continue just using 4 1/4" per card.  The two oval punches take care of the sentiment.  So far I
sent these using Get Well, Birthday, And Thinking of You.  Two pearls complete the card.   A fun card that people seem to really enjoy receiving.  Thanks for stopping by.

Sending Love through cards

Our daughter is having major back surgery today.  So we are showering her with a card a day for a couple weeks.  You may remember when we did this for my dear friend Jean when she had surgery a few years ago.  Her cards are posted pretty far back on my blog but you can find them all at once by clicking on Get Well in the catagory column.  Anyway, we've sent some of those same card, just personalized them or updated them a little, whatever they needed.  Todays card did not scan worth beans, but hopefully you can get a good enough picture of what's going on.  This is an adorable girl Doctor, by Mo Manning, about to give her bear a shot.  I hope you can read the text - you for sure have to watch out for those Side Effects.  Thanks for stopping by, I always enjoy your visit!

MFT - Pure Innocence Challenge

I absolutely love the simplicity of the My Favorite Things "Pure Innocence" series. She is just so sweet. I wouldn't mind being sick if she was my nurse. The bottom half, red piece, of the card is done with the SU new Lattice Work folder. It's the greatest. The middle crooked plaid piece is just a scrap of ten cent paper I had laying around. (I'm so proud that I was able to find it LOL). She is colored simply with Copics (sorry, I didn't write down the numbers - only knew that my NEW E00 was dry and JoAnne's is sending me a refill - that should be interesting). Thanks for stopping by.

Don't you love hospital food...

Yes another card for my friend. Inside it says something about being the "Get Well Quick" diet. Fun!

ICU Anyone?

This is another of the cards I sent my friend during her hospital stay. This card says, "Why do you think ..."
Inside: "They call it ICU" I sent a card a day and hope it brightened her stay.

My friend that had surgery has received most of her cards now, so I can post a few more. I love this one. He's called "Dr. Feelgood". Isn't he cute? He's by Gina K.
